It has been decided that a fireworks display will be held again this year as part of Otaru biggest summer event, the Otaru Ushio Festival. Accordingly, we here at Otaru Canal Cruise have decided to run a fireworks-viewing cruise for the display. Please take part and enjoy the impressive up-close views of the fireworks that our open canal boats provide.

Please note that if there are any changes to the fireworks event schedule, the boarding schedule may also be subject to change. We appreciate your understanding.
| 1) Assembly & Preparations | 19:15 to 19:30 | Assemble at our boarding area by the Chuo Bridge on the Otaru Canal. Staff will provide life jackets and explain how to wear them. |
| 2) Boarding & Departure | 19:30 to 19:50 | Multiple boats will be used for this cruise. Each boat will depart once boarding is complete. Please understand that you cannot choose where to sit. Please have your eTicket (on the screen of your mobile phone) ready for inspection. |
| 3) Fireworks Display | 20:00 to 20:30 | Fireworks will be launched from the Ironai Pier. Enjoy front row views of the display from out on the water. |
| 4) Arrival | 20:30 to 20:50 | The cruise will end after the boats arrives at our jetty by the Chuo Bridge. You may get off there. |

Tickets can only be purchased online through our official website.
If you buy tickets that have been resold, we will provide no refund in the case that this cruise is cancelled because of bad weather.
Again, resold tickets will be deemed invalid, and the holders of those tickets will be charged cancellation fees.

Cancellation Fees
The amount charged will depend upon when cancellations are made.
| 2 to 7 days before cruise: | 20% of ticket price |
| 1 day before cruise: | 50% of ticket price |
| On day of cruise: | 100% of ticket price |
- In the case of light rain, this cruise will operate if the fireworks display is held as scheduled. When you board, we will provide a raincoat free of charge.
- Please understand that even if the fireworks display is held as planned, we may cancel this cruise if strong winds, waves, very high tides and so on make it unsafe for us to operate.
- If the fireworks display should be cancelled, we will cancel the fireworks-viewing cruise and provide a refund at a later date.
- If we decide to cancel the fireworks-viewing cruise, we will announce that we will do so through our website at 5pm on the day of the cruise.
- Cancellation fees will apply if for some reason you decide to cancel before the cancellation of this cruise because of bad weather is announced.
- During the Otaru Ushio Festival (July 24th [Thu] to 27th [Sun], 2025), affiliated parking lots will not be available for use.
About making changing or cancelling your reservation:
Changes to the number of people your reservation is for can be made through the voucher you received by email when making a reservation.
+Please understand that you cannot increase the number of people your reservation is for when not enough seats are available.
Important Information
- Because of traffic restrictions around the venue for the Otaru Ushio Festival, the car parks near our ticket center and boarding area cannot be used. Please come by public transportation.
- There are no toilets on our boats, and only 2 toilets in our ticket center. Please use the nearby public toilets before boarding.
- Passengers are required to wear life jackets at all times during the cruise. Please bring babies and infants who are too small to wear a life jacket onboard in a baby sling/baby carrier.
- Passengers who have had too much to drink or who cannot comply with the captain's instructions will not be allowed to board. Please understand that in this case, no refund will be provided.
- The cruise is about 2 hours long, and the boat may rock while stopped to view the fireworks. If you feel unwell, please tell our staff before boarding.
- When boarding, you will be required to present the eTicket we emailed to you when you paid for tickets. Please make sure to save this email. Again, please understand that screenshots of your eTicket cannot be used.
